There was a small surprise in San Juan del Puerto where fourth ranked San Juan (7-7) defeated second-ranked Yosiquese (10-4) 71-66 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Samuel Ceada (198-91) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Center Alvaro Romero (202-89) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. Portuguese forward Angel Vazquez (190-95) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and Brazilian Rodrigo Goncalves (200-87) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. San Juan maintains fourth place in Group D-B with 7-7 record, which they share with Utrera. Newly promoted Yosiquese keeps the second position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
