Second Stage Round 3: AIK - Wetterbygden 89-68

There was no surprise in Solna where Wetterbygden (1-5) was crushed by AIK (5-1) 89-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by AIK. Wetterbygden was better in fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. AIK forced 23 Wetterbygden turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Wetterbygden's players. The best player for the winners was guard Henos Kidane (193-94) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Alexander Russom (196-95) chipped in 13 points. Four AIK players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tanju Yulman (187-90) who recorded 28 points and guard Albin Hall-Eriksson (187-96) added 14 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AIK will have a break next round. Wetterbygden will play at home against Trelleborg (#3) and hope to win that game.
