Regular Season Round 33: Iwate Big Bulls - Shinshu BW 85-63

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (8-23) crushed at home 5th ranked Shinshu BW (10-22) 85-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Iwate Big Bulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game, while Shinshu BW only scored eight points from the stripe. Iwate Big Bulls forced 24 Shinshu BW turnovers. It was a good game for American power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) contributed with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Dutch power forward Jeroen van der List (213-89, college: Indian Hills CC) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Sho Uesugi (190-89) added 12 points in the effort for Shinshu BW. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate Big Bulls maintains sixth place with 8-23 record. Shinshu BW lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 22 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face again higher ranked Shinshu BW (#5) in Nagano in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
