Regular Season Round 15: GS Larissas - Psychiko 65-66

Fifteenth-ranked GS Larissas (3-12) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Psyhiko (8-7) on Saturday. The visitors from Athens managed to secure only one-point victory 66-65. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for forward Nikolaos Papanikolaou (209-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Thomas Nikou (185-80) helped adding 10 points and 8 assists. Psyhiko's coach Nikos Remendelas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Serbian guard Stefan Nikolic (193-87) with 21 points and naturalized Swedish guard Christian Koutras (189-88, college: Cuesta JC) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Psyhiko have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ethnikos. Newly promoted GS Larissas keeps the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Psyhiko's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Doukas.
