An interesting game for Orange Vikings (12-19) which hosted in Matsuyama 4th placed Tokyo Excel. (10-20). Fourth ranked Orange Vikings managed to get a 13-point victory 81-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tokyo Excel.. The game was mostly controlled by Orange Vikings. Tokyo Excel. was better in third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Lawrence Blackledge (206-86, college: Marquette, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Blackledge is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. American center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import center Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Excel.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Orange Vikings maintains fourth place with 12-19 record which they share with defeated Tokyo Excel. Loser Tokyo Excel. keeps the fourth position with 20 games lost. Orange Vikings will face again Tokyo Excel. (#4) at home in the next round.
