Regular Season Round 31: Soles - Garzas 88-82

An interesting game for Soles (19-12) which hosted in Mexicali 4th placed Garzas (17-14). Second ranked Soles managed to get a 6-point victory 88-82. Soles players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. Venezuelan forward Anthony Perez (206-93, college: Mississippi) helped adding 25 points and 8 assists. At the losing side naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists and American power forward Alex Oriakhi (208-90, college: Connecticut) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Garzas players scored in double figures. Soles maintains second place with 19-12 record having nine points less than leader Fuerza Regia. Newly promoted Garzas dropped to the fifth position with 14 games lost. Soles will play against Ciudad (#6) in Ciudad Juarez in the next round. Garzas will play at home against Santos and hope to get back on the winning track.
