LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (16-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat thirteenth ranked CREF Hola (4-13) in Salamanca 75-63. The game without a history. Perfumerias Avenida led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CREF Hola to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Perfumerias Avenida players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Nigerian-American forward Adaora Elonu (185-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: Josep and Nicolas) stepped up and scored 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and international center Laura Gil (190-92) chipped in 14 points. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Miguel Angel Ortega allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Tamara Abalde (190-89) responded with 18 points and Nigerian forward Sarah Imovbioh (188-92, college: S.Carolina) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Perfumerias Avenida. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-1 record. CREF Hola at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Perfumerias Avenida will play against Mann Filter (#8) in Zaragoza in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CREF Hola will play on the road against Gernika (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
