Everything went according to plan in Corugate where fifth ranked Team Crema (11-5) outleveled 11th ranked Carugate (3-13) 71-46. The game without a history. Team Crema led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Carugate to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Team Crema forced 20 Carugate turnovers. The winners were led by Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Martina Capoferri (175-91) supported her with 20 points. Team Crema's coach Luca Visconti felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Cecilia Albano (180-96) did not help to save the game for Carugate. Power forward Marta Scarsi (182-95) added 5 points and 13 rebounds for lost side. Team Crema maintains fifth position in A2 with 11-5 record. Carugate at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Team Crema's next round opponent will be Scrivia (#7) at home. Carugate will play against the league's second-placed Empoli (#2) and hope to win that game.
