The game in Brest was quite interesting. Seventh ranked Polotsk (4-2) played at the court of 8th ranked BrGU COR Victoria (1-17). Polotsk defeated BrGU COR Victoria 63-47 on Sunday. The game without a history. Polotsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was swingman Maryna Krivitskaya (175-87) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Varvara Verevka chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Polotsk players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Maria Rafalovich (164-1) who recorded 16 points and forward Oksana Isaenko (173-1) added 14 points respectively. BrGU COR Victoria's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Polotsk maintains seventh position with 4-2 record. BrGU COR Victoria at the other side stay dead last with 17 lost games. Polotsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BrGU COR Victoria will play on the road against Victoria (#5) in Grodno and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
