Regular Season Round 18: Tromso - Persbraten 76-73

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Persbraten (1-19) was edged on the road by eighth ranked Tromso (8-13) 76-73 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Persbraten won fourth quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tromso looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Hani Issalhi (191-84) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Aslak Smalas (186-89) chipped in 19 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Greek guard Theodor Aliferis (183-88) with 21 points and Swedish guard Aron Furstenberg (192-88) scored 6 points and 16 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tromso have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 8-13 record. Persbraten lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 19 lost games. Tromso will face league's leader Kongsberg at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Persbraten will play against Froya Basket (#3) and hope to win that game.
