Second Stage Round 4: Yamanashi QB - Hitachi Cougars 53-63

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to ninth ranked Hitachi Cougars (2-2) 63-53 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 10 points. Hitachi Cougars forced 20 Yamanashi QB turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Chika Suzuki (183-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and Saki Matsumoto (176-94) who added 7 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Misa Yokoi (170-88) responded with 4 points and 17 rebounds and guard Miki Huzii (165-87) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi Cougars maintains ninth position in Places 7-12 with 2-2 record, which they share with Aishin AW. Newly promoted Yamanashi QB still closes the standings with four games lost. Hitachi Cougars will face higher ranked Toyota B SR (#7) in Aichi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Yamanashi QB will play on the road against Aishin Wings (#10) in Anjo and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
