Second Stage Round 4: Haneda Vickies - Toyota B SR 57-61

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Haneda Vickies (3-1) in Tokyo on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by top-ranked Toyota B SR (4-0) 61-57. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Haneda Vickies. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-14. But Haneda Vickies won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and center Eri Hatanaka (178-91) who added 14 points during the contest. At the losing side point guard Rina Sezaki (162-92) responded with 15 points and guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Haneda Vickies' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Toyota B SR have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position in Places 7-12 with 4-0 record. Haneda Vickies at the other side keep the eighth place with one game lost. Toyota B SR are looking forward to face Hitachi Cougars (#9) in Hitachinaka in the next round. Haneda Vickies' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Niigata R..
