The game in Tokyo was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Aisin AW (10-10) played at the court of sixth ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (9-11). Tokyo Cinq R. defeated Aisin AW 81-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Aisin AW. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Tokyo Cinq R. made 27-of-28 charity shots (96.4 percent) during the game, while Aisin AW only scored five points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for American forward R.J. Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). His fellow American import forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis, agency: Duran International) accounted for 20 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side. Forward Akihisa Kosaka (197-92) came up with 8 points and 10 rebounds and guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Aisin AW in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo Cinq R. maintains sixth place with 9-11 record. Aisin AW at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Tokyo Cinq R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Big Blue.
