There was a minor upset in Trapani where 10th ranked Lighthouse TR (9-10) was defeated by twelfth ranked Novipiu Casale (8-11) 96-83 on Sunday. Novipiu Casale outrebounded Lighthouse TR 27-12. It was a great evening for point guard Giovanni Tomassini (188-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Nicola Natali (200-88) helped adding 19 points. Five Novipiu Casale players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) responded with 24 points and American point guard Keddric Mays (183-84) scored 27 points. Novipiu Casale moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Loser Lighthouse TR keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Novipiu Casale will face higher ranked Roma E-basket (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
