Regular Season Round 18: Albacete - Zornotza 61-71

No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Zornotza (9-9) beat on the road 13th ranked Albacete (5-13) 71-61 on Sunday. It was a good game for Bahamas swingman J.R. Cadot (196-87, college: TCU, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Iker Salazar (192-93) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Zornotza players scored in double figures. American guard Jeffrey Short (193-92, college: Norfolk St.) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Kris Davis (188-93, college: SIU Edwardsville) added 21 points in the effort for Albacete. Albacete's coach Alfredo Galvez let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Zornotza moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Agustinos-Leclerc. Albacete lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Zornotza will face higher ranked Cambados (#5) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Albacete will play against the league's leader Sammic ISB (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
