Regular Season Round 18: Isernia - Montegrano 52-77

Very expected game when 13th ranked Isernia (5-12) was rolled over at home by first ranked Montegrano (15-1) 77-52 on Sunday. Montegrano made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian center Marcelo Dip (205-84, agency: Players Group) who scored 15 points. The former international power forward Alessandro Paesano (203-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Montegrano players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Albanian power forward Klaudio Patani (197-96) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ferdinando Smorra (184-88) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Montegrano maintains first position in B with 15-1 record. Loser Isernia keeps the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. Montegrano will face Venafro (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Isernia will play against Rimini and hope to win that game.
