Regular Season Round 19: Tortona - Agropoli 72-66

Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Agropoli (5-14) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Tortona (12-7) 72-66 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tortona outrebounded Agropoli 48-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Giampaolo Ricci (201-91) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Tortona players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Kevin Langford (204-85, college: TCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import swingman Donnell Taylor (198-82, college: UAB, agency: Diamond Sports) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Tortona moved-up to fourth place in A2. Loser Agropoli keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Tortona will face Roma Virtus (#6) on the road in the next round. Agropoli will play against Scafati (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
