There was no surprise when 13th ranked Valencia (3-13) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Rivas Promete (9-7) 56-50 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Paula Ginzo (187-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Lucia Togores (176-96) who added 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Virginia Saez (-95) responded with 19 points and M'Angeles Munoz (-88) scored 4 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rivas Promete moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Adareva. Newly promoted Valencia keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Rivas Promete will face Olimpico 64 (#14) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valencia will play at home against C.Adelantados and hope to win that game.
