There was no surprise when 13th ranked Cagliari CUS (2-13) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Albino (7-9) 66-39. The game without a history. Albino led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Cagliari CUS to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Cagliari CUS 46-28 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) who scored that evening 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and the former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Albino players scored in double figures. Albino's coach Giuliano Stibiel felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 12 points by point guard Rachele Niola (172-93) did not help to save the game for Cagliari CUS. Forward Angela Dettori (182-96) added 5 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Albino moved-up to eighth place in A2. Cagliari CUS at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Albino's next round opponent will be San Salvatore (#9) on the road. Cagliari CUS will play against Orvieto (#4) and hope to win that game.
