Regular Season Round 19: Telge - Mark 88-77

An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked Mark in a game versus Telge (#8) 88-77. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-77. Telge shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Jasmine Gill (185-90, college: JMU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists. Her fellow American import guard Tayler Mingo (170-92, college: Wright St.) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Five Telge players scored in double figures. American guard Tiasha Gray (170-94, college: Austin Peay St.) came up with 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and international center Elin Ljunggren (185-96) added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Mark in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Telge. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with KFUM Ostersund. Loser Mark keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Telge will meet at home KFUM Ostersund (#7) in the next round. Mark will play against Sallen in Uppsala and hope to secure a win.
