Regular Season Round 19: Udine APU - Unieuro Forli 70-66

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Unieuro Forli (4-15) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Udine APU (9-10) 70-66 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Udine APU outrebounded Unieuro Forli 36-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American swingman Stan Okoye (198-91, college: VMI) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Allan Ray (188-84, college: Villanova) helped adding 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American forward Jeffrey Crockett (201-91, college: Texas Tech) responded with 27 points and the other American import guard Melvin Johnson (193-93, college: VCU) scored 13 points. Udine APU moved-up to tenth place in A2. Unieuro Forli at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Udine APU will face higher ranked Roseto (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Unieuro Forli will play against Piacenza (#8) and hope to win that game.
