Very important is a road loss of third ranked Toyota A. (2-2) against sixth ranked Denso Iris (1-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Toyota A. was defeated by Denso Iris in Kariya 82-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toyota A.. The game without a history. Denso Iris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Denso Iris had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Denso Iris especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The winners were led by the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Minami Iju (168-90) supported her with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 16 points by the former international guard Yuko Oga (170-82) did not help to save the game for Toyota A.. Guard Saki Mizushima (171-91) added 12 points for lost side. Toyota A.'s coach Don Beck tested twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Denso Iris left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Places 1-6. Toyota A. at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Fujitsu RW. Denso Iris will play against Chanson V-M (#6) in Shizuoka in the next round. Toyota A. will play on the road against the league's leader JX-Eneos S. in Kashiwa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
