Regular Season Round 17: Ironi Nes-Ziona - Ramat Hasharon 78-62

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (11-6) beat 13th ranked Hasharon (3-14) in Nes Ziyona 78-62 on Tuesday. Ironi Nes-Ziona dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hasharon's 34. They outrebounded Hasharon 40-22 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ironi Nes-Ziona looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Naturalized Welsh Tal Michael Dunne (196-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Raviv Pitshon (201-89) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized American point guard Adam Honig (185-92, college: Dickinson, agency: Duran International) answered with 18 points and Rom Cornelius (197-93) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Hasharon. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Nes-Ziona moved-up to third place, which they share with Hap.R/G Givat. and Hapoel K/S. Hasharon lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona will face Ironi Kiryat Ata (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hasharon will play against Ironi Ramat Gan (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
