National League top team - Hapoel B/S (13-4) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat tenth ranked Hap.Haifa (7-10) 77-72. Hapoel B/S forced 20 Hap.Haifa turnovers. American guard Anthony Fisher (191-86) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) accounted for 23 points. Four Hapoel B/S players scored in double figures. American guard Rashad Anderson (196-83, college: Connecticut) came up with 32 points and 6 rebounds and Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Hap.Haifa in the defeat. Hapoel B/S have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-4 record. Hap.Haifa lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Hapoel G/A. Hapoel B/S will meet at home Galil Elion (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hap.Haifa will play against Hapoel Afula and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
