Regular Season Round 24: Independiente BBC - San Isidro 62-64

Fifth-ranked Independiente BBC (7-17) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked San Isidro (14-10) on Tuesday. The visitors from San Francisco managed to secure only two-point victory 64-62. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 2 points. It was a good game for center Santiago Gonzalez (203-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (190-88) contributed with 12 points for the winners. San Isidro's coach Julian Pagura used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Matias Martinez (178-94) replied with 18 points and 4 steals and center Julian Aprea (209-87) added 15 points in the effort for Independiente BBC. San Isidro maintains second position with 14-10 record behind leader Union SF. Newly promoted Independiente BBC keeps the fifth place with 17 games lost. San Isidro will face Villa San Martin (#4) in Resistencia in the next round. Independiente BBC will play at home against Salta Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
