Regular Season Round 15: TLU/Kalev - Kalev/Cramo 64-88

Date: January 31, 2017
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tallinn: Kalev/Cramo (#2) and TLU/Kalev (#7). TLU/Kalev was crushed at home by 24 points 64-88 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TLU/Kalev. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. TLU/Kalev was better in third quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TLU/Kalev 52-28 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American Mark Tollefsen (206-92, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Erik Keedus (198-90) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Djordje Dzeletovic (205-93, agency: AproK Sports Group) with 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Janis Vahter (196-86) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Kalev/Cramo. Defending champion maintains second place with 12-2 record having 2 victories less than leader TU/Rock. TLU/Kalev at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TLU/Kalev will play on the road against Rapla (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
