Regular Season Round 25: Sodertalje - Umea 100-78

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Sodertalje Kings (13-5) outscored at home 8th ranked Umea (4-18) 100-78 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Sodertalje Kings led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sodertalje Kings forced 19 Umea turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Point guard Valter Lindstrom (180-95) stepped up and scored 17 points and 7 assists for the winners and Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) chipped in 21 points. Sodertalje Kings' coach Vedran Bosnic felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Andre Nilsson (209-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Egal Saleman (201-88) scored 22 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sodertalje Kings have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 13-5 record having nine points less than leader BC Lulea. Loser Umea keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost. Sodertalje Kings are again looking forward to face Umea (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Umea will have a break next round.
