Regular Season Round 30: Levice - Prievidza 84-87

The most exciting game of round 30 in the SBL took place in Levice. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Levice (19-8) to fourth ranked Prievidza (19-6) 87-84 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Levice. The best player for the winners was Croatian forward Igor Maric (196-85) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Andre Jones (191-90, college: Winthrop) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) who recorded 25 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Simon Krajcovic (191-94, college: Loyola Mary) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Five Levice players scored in double figures. Prievidza have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Levice at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Prievidza are looking forward to face Karlovka (#9) in Bratislava in the next round where they are favorite. Levice will play on the road against the league's second-placed Inter Bratislava (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
