A very interesting game took place in Inowroclaw. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Polonia Leszno (12-8) to ninth ranked Notec Inowr. (9-11) 73-71 on Wednesday evening. Notec Inowr. made 24-of-31 charity shots (77.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Polonia Leszno turnovers. Strangely Polonia Leszno outrebounded Notec Inowr. 39-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Polonia Leszno helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Mikolaj Grod (194-89) who scored that evening 24 points and 5 assists and Bartosz Pochocki (185-90) supported him with 24 points. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by guard Jakub Koelner (183-93) did not help to save the game for Polonia Leszno. Center Szymon Milczynski (204-93) added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Four Polonia Leszno players scored in double figures. Notec Inowr. maintains ninth position with 9-11 record. Newly promoted Polonia Leszno dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. Notec Inowr.'s next round opponent will be SKK Siedlce (#11) on the road. Polonia Leszno will play against GTK Gliwice (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
