Regular Season Round 15: Tarvas - Parnu 70-93

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Parnu's (9-8) road victory over 6th ranked BC Rakvere (5-10) 93-70 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Parnu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BC Rakvere's 28. They outrebounded BC Rakvere 47-29 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. BC Rakvere was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Mihkel Kirves (190-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Karl-Martin Kask (209-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Siim-Markus Post (183-97) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and forward Tonis Peil (196-93) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for BC Rakvere. Five Parnu and four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. BC Rakvere's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Parnu moved-up to fourth place. Loser BC Rakvere keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Parnu will face league's leader TU/Rock in Tartu in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Rakvere will play on the road against TTU (#5) in Tallinn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
