Regular Season Round 17: Siarka - Stelmet ZG 65-105

Leader Stelmet delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they crushed 16th ranked Stabill (3-15) 105-65 in Tarnobrzeg. Stelmet forced 22 Stabill turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. International swingman Karol Gruszecki (193-89, college: Texas Arlington) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. The former international swingman Przemyslaw Zamojski (193-86, college: Independence CC) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Stelmet players scored in double figures. Stelmet's coach Artur Gronek felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Travis Releford (198-90, college: Kansas) answered with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-92, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 12 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Stabill. Stelmet (15-3) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Stabill at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 15 games lost. Stelmet will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stabill will play on the road against Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
