Rather expected game when 7th ranked Espoo Team (8-12) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Kouvottaret (11-8) 66-51 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 66-51. The best player for the winners was forward Ulriikka Nuolikoski (178-93) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Jacqueline Luna-Castro (188-93, college: Charleston) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Tierra Henderson (178-87, college: UCLA) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and international swingman Lotta Aaltonen (180-85, college: Coker) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Espoo Team's coach Niko Hellman rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kouvottaret moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Catz. Espoo Team at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Kouvottaret will face league's second-placed Espoo Utd on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Espoo Team will play against Peli-Karhut (#6) in Kotka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
