Regular Season Round 2: Hyundai-TSU - DELTA 62-64

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Hyundai-TSU (1-1) in Tbilisi on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by DELTA (2-0) 64-62. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hyundai-TSU won third quarter 16-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Levan Eliadze (198-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward George Korsantia (203-98) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Christopher Anderson (170-92, college: San Diego) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Hyundai-TSU players scored in double figures. Hyundai-TSU's coach Nikoloz Cherkezishvili rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. DELTA is looking forward to face Tskaltubo (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Hyundai-TSU will play against BC Titebi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
