Regular Season Round 24: Ciclista - Platense 84-88

Leading Ciclista (15-8) recorded its eighth loss in Juninense. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked CA Platense (12-10) 88-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ciclista. The game without a history. CA Platense led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 63.5 percent from the field. Worth to mention a great performance of Chilean guard Sebastian Suarez (193-91, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds and center Dario Mansilla (207-82) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jeffrey Fahnbulleh (200-85) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Alvaro Merlo (182-95) scored 11 points and 8 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. CA Platense moved-up to third place. Ciclista at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. They share it with Estudiantes O. and Parque Sur. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
