The game in Avila was also worth to mention about. Tigres (2-0) played at the court of Ciego (0-2). Tigres defeated Ciego 67-57. The game was mostly controlled by Tigres. Ciego was better in third quarter 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Ciego outrebounded Tigres 30-14. Forward Yoanis Baldo (191-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. Forward Keiler Cala (195-94) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Dainier Martinez (184-96) replied with 20 points and 4 steals and guard Alfredo Hernandez (192-85) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Ciego. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigres will play against Santiago (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ciego will play against Villa Clara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
