Regular Season Round 21: KKL - Fubon Braves 77-64

Very important is a loss of third ranked Fubon Braves (15-9) against sixth ranked KKL (6-18) on Friday night. Fubon Braves were defeated by KKL 77-64. KKL forced 19 Fubon Braves turnovers. Fubon Braves were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds for the winning side and international swingman Wei-Ju Chien (185-92) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Central African-American center Patrick O'Bryant (213-86, college: Bradley) added 7 points and 19 rebounds respectively for Fubon Braves in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory KKL went down to seventh position due to points difference. Fubon Braves at the other side dropped to the second place with nine games lost. KKL will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fubon Braves will play against Pauian and hope to get back on the winning track.
