Regular Season Round 19: Brasilia - B.Cearense 88-52

NBB top team - Brasilia (13-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked SKY/Basquete (7-10) 88-52. Brasilia made 28-of-37 charity shots (75.7 percent) during the game, while SKY/Basquete only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded SKY/Basquete 42-27 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brasilia players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by SKY/Basquete's players. It was a great evening for international Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard Fulvio de Assis (188-81) helped adding 11 points and 10 assists. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) responded with 11 points and the former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) scored 10 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brasilia maintains first place with 13-5 record. SKY/Basquete at the other side keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Brasilia will play against Paulistano (#10) in Sao Paolo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SKY/Basquete will have a break next round.
