The game in Rio was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Camaguey (3-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Pinar (1-6). Camaguey managed to secure a 8-point victory 67-59 on Saturday. Pinar trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 20-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 59-67 at the end of the game. Camaguey dominated on the defensive end, holding Pinar to just 7 points in second quarter. Strangely Pinar outrebounded Camaguey 40-26 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Leidis Oquendo (180-82, agency: Pro Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Lissandra Vargas (180-96) who added 18 points during the contest. Guard Yusleidys Miranda (173-96) responded with 27 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Anay Garcia Pozo (188-94) scored 6 points and 17 rebounds. Camaguey moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Santiago. Defending champion Pinar stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Camaguey will meet at home Santiago de Cuba (#4) in the next round. Pinar will play against the league's second-placed Capitalinas and hope to win that game.
