Regular Season Round 21: Spojnia - Legia W-wa 89-101

An interesting game for Legia W-wa (17-4) which played road game in Stargard against 3rd placed Spojnia (14-7). Second ranked Legia W-wa managed to get a 12-point victory 101-89. Point guard Lukasz Wilczek (190-86) stepped up and scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners and Piotr Robak (194-91) chipped in 17 points. The best for the losing side was swingman Damian Janiak (195-89, agency: Promotex) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 assists and center Karol Pytys (202-85) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Legia W-wa have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They used an opportunity after Sokol Lancut lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Spojnia lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with seven games lost. Legia W-wa will play against Kotwica (#12) in Kolobrzeg in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Spojnia will play on the road against Notec Inowr. (#9) in Inowroclaw and hopes to get back on the winning track.
