The game between second ranked Zwolle (13-5) and 7th ranked Leeuwarden (6-12) in Zwolle on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Zwolle outscored guests from Leeuwarden 120-67. The game without a history. Zwolle led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Leeuwarden's 34. Zwolle forced 20 Leeuwarden turnovers and outrebounded them 40-21 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 58.1 percentage. Oudendag is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Zwolle players scored in double figures. Zwolle's coach Herman van den Belt felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Jordan Gregory (188-92, college: Montana) did not help to save the game for Leeuwarden. His fellow American import forward Denton Koon (203-92, college: Hofstra, agency: Court Side) added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Zwolle maintains second position with 13-5 record having four points less than leader Groningen. Leeuwarden lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Zwolle will meet bottom-ranked Weert (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Leeuwarden will play against the league's leader Groningen and hope to secure a win.
