Regular Season Round 18: Rivas - Casvi 55-102

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Casvi (13-5) crushed on the road 16th ranked Rivas (2-16) 102-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Casvi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rivas to just 7 points in first quarter. Casvi dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Rivas' 30 and made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game, while Rivas only scored seven points from the stripe. Casvi forced 24 Rivas turnovers. Rivas was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Walter Cabral (200-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Carlos Martos (189-97) contributed with 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Casvi players scored in double figures. Casvi will face Villarrobledo (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rivas will play against Quintanar (#8) and hope to win that game.
