Regular Season Round 18: Easo - Ardoi 71-58

An interesting game for Easo (12-3) which hosted in San Sebastian second-best Ardoi (11-4). Third ranked Easo managed to get a 13-point victory 71-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ardoi. It was a key game for the second position in Group A-A. It looked good early as Ardoi took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Easo had a 18-9 second period charge getting the lead and Ardoi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 58-71. They outrebounded Ardoi 32-20 including 22 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Mikel Esnaola (200-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Inaki Nagore (174-91) chipped in 17 points. Easo's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Inigo Campos (196-96) who recorded 15 points and guard Ignacio Urtasun (187-80) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Easo have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group A-A. Ardoi at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Easo's next round opponent will be Burgos (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Ardoi will play against TAKE Tolosa (#14) and hope to win that game.
