Regular Season Round 35: Nishinomiya S. - Kagawa FA 87-68

Rather expected game in Hyogo where 5th ranked Kagawa FA (10-23) was rolled over by second ranked Nishinomiya S. (23-10) 87-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Nishinomiya S.. Kagawa FA was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Kagawa FA's 36. The best player for the winners was American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Australian center Jordan Vandenberg (216-90, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Rintaro Tokunaga (177-86) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Nishinomiya S. used an opportunity after Gunma lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position.
