Regular Season Round 22: AZS PS Gliwice - AZS PCz 86-64

There was no surprise when 13th ranked AZS PCz (4-18) was outplayed on the road by eleventh ranked AZS PS Gliwice (5-15) 86-64 on Saturday. AZS PS Gliwice dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to AZS PCz's 32. AZS PS Gliwice forced 21 AZS PCz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by AZS PCz's players. Guard Maciej Wasowicz (182-92) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Maciej Piszczek (203-96) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Przemyslaw Laszewski (194-90) responded with 9 points and 12 rebounds and forward Tomasz Nogalski (192-79) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS PS Gliwice maintains eleventh position in Group C with 5-15 record. Loser AZS PCz keeps the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. AZS PS Gliwice will face higher ranked Wisla Krakow (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
