Regular Season Round 22: Nowa Sol - Slask Wroclaw 42-86

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Slask (19-1) outscored on the road 13th ranked Nowa Sol (2-20) 86-42 on Saturday. Slask dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Nowa Sol's 26. Slask forced 20 Nowa Sol turnovers and outrebounded them 46-24 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Nowa Sol's players. Power forward Aleksander Dziewa (206-97) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Maciej Krakowczyk (200-96) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Slask players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Kamil Zywert (186-96) responded with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Michal Ostrowski (191-98) scored 8 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Slask maintains first position in Group D with 19-1 record. Nowa Sol lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 20 games lost. Slask will face Stal II Ostrow (#4) at home in the next round.
