Bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue managed to get a second victory. This time they won against sixth-ranked Tokyo Cinq R. 89-83. Tokyo Cinq R. was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 31-14 third quarter run of Tokyo Big Blue. Strangely Tokyo Cinq R. outrebounded Tokyo Big Blue 41-27 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Tokyo Cinq R. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was point guard Ryota Ito (178-92) who scored 25 points. Point guard Yoshikawa Osamuakira (182-92) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who recorded 20 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward R.J. Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Four Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tokyo Big Blue maintains ninth position with 2-20 record. Tokyo Cinq R. at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 12 games lost.
