An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aalstar. Second ranked Antwerp Giants faced 3rd ranked Okapi Aalstar. Guests from Antwerp (12-6) smashed host Okapi Aalstar (10-9) 93-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Okapi Aalstar. Antwerp Giants dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Okapi Aalstar's 32. The best player for the winners was American forward Ryan Anderson (206-92, college: Arizona) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The other American import power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Antwerp Giants players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Bill Amis (206-87, college: Hawaii, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 12 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Olivier Troisfontaines (192-89, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Antwerp Giants maintains second position with 12-6 record having just two points less than leader Oostende. Okapi Aalstar at the other side dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost. Antwerp Giants are looking forward to face Kangoeroes (#8) in Willebroek in the next round where they are favorite. Okapi Aalstar will play at home against Basic-Fit Brussels (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
