Regular Season Round 4: Bima Perkasa - NSH GMC 91-103

Everything could happen in Sakti at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked NSH GMC and 9th ranked Bima Perkasa had identical 1-1 record. But Bima Perkasa was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Jakarta 103-91 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. NSH GMC dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Bima Perkasa's 34. They outrebounded Bima Perkasa 53-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by power forward Nate Barfield (206-88, college: Langston) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and point guard Gary Jacobs (188-92, college: Cent.Washington) supported him with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Even 30 points and 9 rebounds by forward Jamine Peterson (201-88, college: Providence) did not help to save the game for Bima Perkasa. Point guard Tyrell Corbin (184-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) added 22 points, 7 assists and 7 steals for lost side. Four Bima Perkasa players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. NSH GMC (2-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Bima Perkasa dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with Pelita Jaya. NSH GMC will meet at home Hang Tuah (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Bima Perkasa will have a break next round.
