Regular Season Round 3: Pinar del Rio - Matanzas 71-65

Pinar defeated Guerreros in Rio 71-65. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Guerreros won third quarter 24-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Pinar won last quarter 23-19. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Yosiel Monterrey (185-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists. The former international point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) helped adding 15 points and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Yuniskel Molina (185-93) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Danys Torrientes (190-85) scored 21 points. Guerreros' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Guerreros will play next round against Guantanamo trying to get back on the winning streak. Pinar will try to continue on its current victory against Tigres at Camaguey.
