Regular Season Round 17: CCC Polkowice - Wisla Can-Pack 81-57

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Wisla Can-Pack (13-4) against seventh ranked CCC Polkowice (10-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Wisla Can-Pack was crushed by CCC Polkowice in Polkowice 81-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Wisla Can-Pack. CCC Polkowice dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Can-Pack's 28 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Wisla Can-Pack 47-22 including a 33-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. CCC Polkowice players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American center Isabelle Harrison (190-93, college: Tennessee) nailed 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Croatian center Marija Rezan (198-89) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five CCC Polkowice players scored in double figures. CCC Polkowice's coach Maros Kovacik felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Belgian point guard Hind Ben Abdelkader (172-95, college: California) came up with 15 points and Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (194-89) added 13 points respectively for Wisla Can-Pack in the defeat. CCC Polkowice moved-up to sixth place, which they share with AZS UMCS. Defending champion Wisla Can-Pack keeps the second position with four games lost. CCC Polkowice will play against AZS UMCS (#6) in Lublin in the next round. Wisla Can-Pack will play at home against Widzew (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
